| Brief Summary: |
National Clinical Research-Richmond is conducting a study to evaluate a vaccine to prevent Herpes Zoster (shingles) compared to placebo in adults who are 50 years old or older. People who have had the vaccine or have had shingles will not qualify to participate. People who do participate but are assigned to receive a placebo will be given a real vaccination for herpes zoster at the end of the trial at no cost. |

Can not have had Herpes Zoster
Can not have had a previous Vaccination against varicella or Herpes Zoster
